The 2008 Journey Chardonnay is the culmination of the finest cool climate vineyards in Sonoma County and our classic winemaking style. In 2008 Mother Nature delivered a dry winter and mild spring and summer that led to a long, drawn out growing season.

Yellow-gold, rich yellow appearance. The first swirl presents aromas of orange blossom and ripe melon. As the wine opens notes of spice cake and white pepper accent smoky mineral characteristics that continue to evolve throughout the long, focused finish.

Since 1977, Matanzas Creek Winery has been focused on creating balanced, elegant wines that are regarded as Sonoma County classics. The 2009 Bennett Valley Chardonnay is a fine example of what can be achieved when artisan winemaking techniques are applied to the marvelous bounty of Mother Nature.

Pale honey in appearance the nose delivers notes of honeysuckle and quince followed by passion fruit and butterscotch. Mirroring its aromas, honeysuckle and quince flavors lead into hints of pear and passion fruit for a long and elegant finish.

A Matanzas Creek classic, our Chardonnay is sourced from estate-owned vineyards throughout the Sonoma county. Our focus on this wine continues to be Bennett Valley and Carneros with small amounts of Russian River fruit added for extra character. With notes of pears, apples and white currant lead to a creamy mid-palate with a wonderful mineral finish. Try it with butternut squash risotto, it's delicious!

Our Sauvignon Blanc is crafted to express the grape's natural aromatics. We add texture to the palate by aging a small percentage in fine grain French oak. A majority of the fruit in this vintage came from our vineyards in Knights Valley, which is on the border of Sonoma and Napa counties.

An intensely perfumed fresh bouquet of lime, bright pink grapefruit and lemon thyme combined with notes of green melon, pear and papaya. A medium bodied, and fresh food-friendly wine.

The 2010 Helena Bench Sauvignon Blanc is a single vineyard Sauvignon Blanc we have produced from our Knights Valley vineyard at the base of Mt. St. Helena in Sonoma County. Part of an alluvial riverbed of sand and gravel, this vineyard is influenced by the cooling effects of the Mountain which contribute rich aromas of exotic fruit and grapefruit and an underlying mineral streak.
